Trimble API Feed – Product Update Instructions

Is your SITECH website utilizing the Trimble API feed to keep your products up to date? As new products are released and added to the Trimble Civil Construction website, you will also need to update the product cards on your solutions pages. While the API populates content on the product sub-pages automatically, you will still need to manually add new product cards or delete product cards that have been discontinued.

To help with this process, we have created instructions on how to add and remove product cards from your solutions pages in WordPress. If you need any assistance, please contact your regional field marketing manager.

If you are not currently using the API and are interested in adding it to your website, please reach out to your regional field marketing manager. The API feed is a pre-built WordPress plugin, so it can currently only be added to WordPress sites.

Please refer to our list of current product updates that will be continually updated as new products are released and/or discontinued.

Update website, plugins, themes

• To ensure that your API is working properly and can be updated, please ensure your WordPress is up to date
• This includes plugins, themes, and general site updates

Add new product cards to your solutions pages

• Navigate to Products > Import Picklist

Choose the applicable folder, some products will be listed in multiple folders

• The main folders include:
  • Civil Construction - Surveying
  • Civil Construction - Software 1
  • Civil Construction - Machine Control
  • Civil Construction - Fleet and Asset Management
  • Marine - Surveying
  • Marine - Machine Control
  • Marine - Software

Check the box of the product you would like to import

• You can check multiple boxes
• After checking the boxes, scroll down and click import

Review applicable solutions page to ensure new product card is appearing on your website

• Product cards are not in any particular order, you might need to scroll the page to find your new product

New product promotion

• After adding a new product card, check MarketSmart to add new website sliders to promote the product, along with other promotional collateral

Navigate to Products > All Products

• This page shows a list of all products currently being displayed on your solutions pages

Scroll or use the search bar to find the product you want to remove

• The product category shows all of the solutions folders where that product can be displayed
• Once you remove the product card, it will be removed from each of those pages

Check the box of the product you want to remove

• You can check multiple boxes to do a bulk product removal

Navigate to the top of the list and click Bulk Actions > Move to Trash

• Once you move to trash, your selected product will be removed from your website, but will still remain in the trash folder
• If you mistakenly removed a product, you can go to the trash folder and restore or delete permanently

Review all of the solutions pages to ensure the applicable product cards have been removed
